Bernice Brown Hanson, also known as Mrs. Haldore, was a white female teacher from Aldie, Virginia, with a permanent address in Loudoun County. Born on August 19, 1915, she held a Master's degree from the University of Chicago and Carleton College, with a variety of credit hours in subjects such as English, Social Studies, History, and foreign languages. She taught at Aldie Latin, English, and Physical Education in 1953-1954 and at Loudoun County teaching French, English, and Biology in 1954-1955. Throughout her career, Hanson was rated good in professionalism, punctuality, cooperation, growth and success, and attitude. She taught briefly in China in 1935-1936 and had unused sick leave at the end of her tenure in Loudoun County before transferring to Fairfax County in 1955-1956.
