Description
-
Miss Alice Francis Grover, a white, single female teacher from Loudoun County, Virginia, had a strong educational background with a Bachelor's degree from Illinois State and multiple Master's degrees. She held a degree in Elementary Education and had experience teaching History and English to 12th graders, as well as other subjects to lower grades. Her teaching performance was rated as good in terms of punctuality, cooperation, growth, success, and attitude. Miss Grover's professionalism and dedication to her students were noted by school officials. Despite her strong qualifications and positive evaluations, Miss Grover retired in 1947 after only one year of teaching in the Loudoun County school system. Her impact on her students and colleagues was cut short by her retirement in January of that year.
